Bill will be responsible for the development of litigation finance as a rapidly growing form of specialty finance. He will utilize his extensive network of trusted relationships within the global banking and finance communities, and within leading law firms, to source investment opportunities and raise awareness of this emerging asset class. Bill has worked in the financial services industry for more than 35 years, most recently as a member of Morgan Stanley’s Global Management Committee and co-CEO for its Asia Pacific Region, and previously as vice chairman of Investment Banking. During his career, he has advised clients in more than 25 countries involved in capital-raising transactions across all product classes. Bill has held posts in Chicago, New York, London, and Hong Kong. Most recently in Hong Kong, he had responsibility for the strategic direction and financial performance of Morgan Stanley’s businesses in the Asia Pacific region which employs approximately 5,000 professionals. Bill is a Certified Public Accountant, and earned a bachelor of science degree from Purdue University Krannert School of Management and an MBA, with concentrations in finance and accounting, from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management.

Tim is responsible for the corporate management and investor relations of Longford Capital. He is a seasoned executive with more than 20 years of broad management experience, having held positions at Ace Hardware Corporation, Skil, a division of Emerson Electric, and, since 2004, as the Chief Executive Officer of the American Hardware Manufacturers Association. Over the course of his career, Tim has overseen marketing, finance, human resources, and investment functions, and has extensive experience overseeing complex litigation matters. He earned a bachelor of science degree from Indiana University Kelley School of Business, an MBA from Northern Illinois University College of Business, and executive education certificates from Harvard Business School and Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Bill earned a bachelor of science degree from Indiana University Kelley School of Business and a law degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School.

He is an accomplished attorney with more than 15 years of experience representing a wide array of corporate clients involved in complex litigation throughout the United States, including trial experience in the commercial litigation departments of two prominent national law firms, Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg, LLP and Gardner, Carton & Douglas, LLP (n/k/a Drinker, Biddle & Reath, LLP). Mike is a frequent speaker on commercial litigation finance, and has presented at numerous industry conferences and events. He is an honors graduate of Northern Illinois University College of Business and Chicago-Kent College of Law.

Laura is an accomplished senior finance and private equity professional with 35 years of financial services experience. Laura has been responsible for financial reporting and budgeting, financial modeling, due diligence on prospective investments, tax and deal structuring, compliance matters as well as fundraising and investor relations. A Certified Public Accountant, Laura began her career with Ernst & Young LLP working in both its Chicago and National Offices. She is a graduate of University of Illinois and University of Chicago, Booth School of Business.

Russ is responsible for investment sourcing, underwriting and monitoring. Russ is an accomplished attorney with nearly 20 years experience representing corporate clients in defending and monetizing intellectual property rights in a wide array of industries, including electronics, computers, software, telecommunications, medical devices and many others. Russ has significant experience litigating complex intellectual property matters in federal courts throughout the United States, and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Russ has also prosecuted patent applications and represented clients in interferences, ex parte reexaminations, and inter partes reviews in the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Russ has been recognized in 2017 as an Illinois Super Lawyer for IP Litigation. Prior to joining Longford Capital, Mr. Genet was a partner in the international law firm, Nixon Peabody LLP. While at Nixon Peabody, Mr. Genet served as the national leader of the firm’s IP Litigation practice group. He is a graduate of Purdue University and Chicago-Kent College of Law.
